CorpusForma explores the intersection between ergonomics and upholstery artistry. Inspired by the structure of the spine, its form adapts to various seating positions, merging geometry with material behavior.
This design pushes the boundaries of traditional upholstery, exploring how fabric and foam can become structural and sustainable elements in contemporary design.
The project began during Maria's final year at Politecnico di Milano, where she envisioned furniture as an extension of the body rather than of the space.
Over the following years, Maria developed the final design in her spare time while working full-time. The modules were shaped around the natural curves of the body and designed to be flexible and adaptable.
After meeting EcoLattice in 2024, the project became a collaboration. Their sustainable foam technologies elevated the piece into a new dimension of sustainable production.
The piece was launched in September 2025 during the “Beyond Foam” exhibition at Aram Gallery in London, UK.
